Participants learn who to contact in an emergency and what steps to take to protect themselves and others after a spill, emphasizing that personal safety comes first. This course provides basic awareness-level training for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) hazards. Participants will learn how to identify CBRNE threats, utilize the Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG), and understand initial actions to lessen injuries or property loss .

This training meets the awareness-level requirements of NFPA 470 (2022 edition), 29 CFR §1910.120(q)(6)(i), and the National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP) .

This 40-Hour HAZWOPER course is designed for workers involved in hazardous waste operations, including cleanup, emergency response, storage, disposal, and treatment of hazardous substances. Upon completion, students will have a foundational understanding of safety and health hazards associated with hazardous waste operations.
